Trivia and Puzzles

I got these little tidbits in a couple emails, and some of them were so funny that I felt like sharing the best ones. Hope you like them. ^_^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW!
1. Money isn't made out of paper. It's made out of cotton. (Wha...? O,o)
2. The dot over the letter 'i' is called a 'tittle.' (Hee hee. ^,^)
3. 40% of McDonald's profits come from the sales of Happy Meals. (Two fifths? Wow!)
4. 315 entries in Webster 's 1996 Dictionary were misspelled. (How'd they get away with that?)
5. On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents, daily. (How many will learn the truth when they get older, I wonder?)
6. Most lipstick contains fish scales. (Eeewww. >,<)
7. Donald Duck comics were banned from Finland because he doesn't wear pants.
(Your loss, Finland.)
8. Ketchup was sold in the 1830's as medicine. (One question. Why?)
9. Upper- and lower-case letters are named 'upper' and 'lower' because in the time when all original print had to be set in individual letters, the Upper case' letters were stored in the case on top of the case that stored the smaller, 'lower case' letters. (That's it? Cool. ^_^)
10. Some facts about Leonardo Da Vinci: he could write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time, hence multi-tasking was invented, it took him 10 years to paint Mona Lisa's lips, and he also invented scissors. (This is actually a couple fun facts rolled into one, since they're all about Da Vinci.)
11. Because metal was scarce, the Oscars given out during World War II were made of wood. (They still had the Oscars during the war? Brave.)
12. There are no clocks in Las Vegas gambling casinos. (I guess they don't count wrist watches people might be wearing.)
13. The name Wendy was made up for the book Peter Pan; there was never a recorded Wendy before!
(Wow, I wonder where JM Barrie got the name then.)
14. Celery has negative calories! It takes more calories to eat a piece of celery than the celery has in it to begin with. It's the same with apples. (I love celery. ^_^ I think I knew it had negative calories, somewhere in my mind, but I didn't know apples had them too. So an apple a day does keep the doctor away.)
15. Guinness Book of Records holds the record for being the book most often stolen from Public Libraries. (Now that's interesting.)
NEXT, CAN YOU SEE THE DOUBLE MEANINGS IN THESE WORDS?
Look upside down for the answers (if you can't figure them out yourself. O,o)
