Charlie is SOOO cool! like ^_^

This has probably been a pretty big waste of my morning, but I've been having lots of fun on YouTube, watching the videos of charlieissocoollike. This is a British boy named Charlie McDonnell who is about my age, is a little weird and, since 2007, has been putting up crazy video-blog type videos. Apparently he is very popular on the internet, because he's got 600,000+ subscribers! Wow. I am impressed, Mr. Charlie. ^_^

His videos are really funny, crazy and random. My favorite vids of his are when he makes up these silly songs that are actually very catchy and hilarious to watch. There is the Duet with Myself (which I have embedded in a past blog post, funny enough) and the Song about Acne, which I'm sure every teenager can relate to. (ahhh! But it is so hilarious! Near the end of it, Charlie does this weird scatting thing that makes me cry from laughing so hard. XD) There are other songs, but those 2 are my absolute favorites.

Charlie is really, in my book, a cool-appearing guy. ^_^ He looks like someone that I could be friends with, if we were to meet. He seems incredibly creative and witty. Yes, a little on the geeky side, but then again, aren't we all? His English accent is cute, he looks like a friendly person, and... what else can I say? Charlie is so cool! I like him. I'm going to look forward to his future videos.

If you happen to be curious enough, here is Charlie's YouTube Channel. I hope you find him as fun and entertaining and COOL as I do. ^_~

Update time, she comes...

Wow, I'm surprised at myself. How did I go almost 2 weeks without posting something new? Hope I haven't been missed out there...
Cashflow is seriously addicting. I'm learning a lot from the people I play with, and I'm advancing in rank very quickly. I am almost an S5, and it only took me 2 weeks to make it there. It seems most people need 2 months to do the same thing. ^_^

The sound effects and background game music slightly annoy me, so I replace it with playlists from YouTube. Mostly my sound of choice is Bruno Mars (a new favorite artist of mine ^_^), but I've also been listening to P!nk, Owl City, Uncle Kracker, Justin Bieber, just random popular artists whose songs I've liked, but never heard their full repertoire. It's a lot of fun. But more often than not, I'm hearing Bruno Mars. Totally awesome.
I've also been pretty busy because my grandparents were visiting from Israel this whole week, plus my Aunt Lisa (visiting from California) came by for a few days as well. We had lots of fun with all of them. ^_^

We went Halloween shopping on Saturday together (I still hadn't come up with a good idea for a costume ~,~), and looked around for inspiration. I'm not sure why, but I had the urge to get these funny x-ray glasses and a squeaking clown nose. I guess I wanted to go for something wacky?

I'm thinking maybe I can be a mad scientist or something, with my new crazy goggles. Just need a lab coat and doctor accessories. But the clown nose... O,o Don't ask.

On Aunt Lisa's last day with us, she took my brother, sister and I to Borders to buy us anything we wanted. Guess what I asked for? ^_^

Yep, the Scorch Trials! I read it in just a matter of days, and seriously, this is gold!!! James Dashner is a friggin' genius! He's my hero! The way he writes this story is like I'm watching a movie in my head, and a very well-written one, at that. ^_^ He puts a cliff-hanger at the end of every... single... chapter, which made me go through the book faster than I would have liked. I couldn't stop reading!!! I was kept in suspense throughout the whole thing. The new characters introduced here are fabulous, and a TON of new questions pop up to torture you, even when you put the book down.

I'm a little sad, because I haven't been posting much in my book blog, like a good reviewer. ~,~ I am reading a lot, but I move on to the next book too quickly to think about how much I enjoyed what I just read. I'm thinking maybe I'll quit posting on Bettina's Book Club. In fact, perhaps I'll stop reviewing books altogether... Except for the extremely good ones (like this one). Trust me, this I extremely recommend. ^_^ If you haven't read the book before it, Maze Runner, you must get ahold of both books ASAP and get ready for the ride of your life.
My sister the artist decided to join Deviant Art yesterday. ^_^ She calls herself the CartoonConnoisseur. (Don't know why, but she does really love cartoons.) I think Annette is getting a real kick out of it. She uploaded a couple favorite images, but has been using DevArt's drawing tool, Muro, to make, in my opinion, completely awesome pieces!!! Keep a watch on her! (Jacoby, as a Deviously Deviant member, would you happen to have any advice for a new member such as my twin? ^_~)

Oh yeah, and we've discovered the Nostalgia Critic videos. They are hilarious to the max!!! XD If you wanna have a good, hearty LOL about films from your childhood, you've gotta check this guy out. He posts a new video every week. ^_^
--------------------
Well, I think that's really all I have to say in this catch-up post. Thanks for reading!

8 Questions from RainyRani

1.) What was your weirdest conversation about?
That would depend on how you define weird. Funny weird, strange and unusual weird, uncomfortable weird, crazy weird... So I'll leave this unanswered, if I may.

2.) What animal or thing would I like to transfigure into?
If I were to transform into an animal, I'd be torn between being a squirrel or a fox. Squirrels are cute and can climb and leap among the trees, almost as if they can fly. And they like nuts. ^_^ Now I know foxes are carnivorous and all, but hey, I'm just changing into a fox temporarily, right? I'm not gonna be stuck like this, am I? 0,o Anyway, I think foxes are really cool animals. Not for any particular reason. They seem wild and fierce and clever... they're just really cool to me.3.) What are you going to be wearing for Halloween/ talk about favorite past Halloween costumes?
I haven't really decided on a costume for this year, but I've always wanted to be someone (or something) scary. I haven't done that before. I've been a mime, a mermaid, a hula girl, and a Siamese twin (needed Annette to pull of that one ^_~) but I've never been a vampire or a ghost or a witch or a zombie before. I'd like to be something like that at least one Halloween in my life. While I still feel young at heart enough to dress up. =P

4.) Can you roll your tongue?
Yes, I think I can. I'm not sure if I'd call it rolling, but I can do a cool tongue trick. ^_^

5.) What would you get a tattoo of (if you were to even get one)?
I don't think I'll ever really change any part of my body. I don't want to pierce my ears or get plastic surgery or anything like that. That goes for marking it with a permanent tattoo (I like washables, though. ^_^) But if I did get a tattoo, I think some kind of intricate vine pattern going up and around my arm would be pretty cool...

6.) What was the last song you listened to (or last song you can remember you listening to)?
"Just the way you are," by Bruno Mars. ^_^ I embedded the music video in the post before this one. (If you haven't, go check it out, please!) That is one awesome song. I've heard it played loads of times on the radio, and I love it. Bruno Mars kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson, actually. ^_^

7.)What’s your favorite number?
That would be 3. Because it's a magic number. ^_~
8.) What was something insane you did/said/believed in when you were a wee little you?
Again, that would depend on how you define insane. ^_~
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
Well Rainy, it's a shame that you had to go ahead and tag Annette and Jacoby with this meme, because they are the first people I would have thought to tag for this myself. ~,~ Oh well. I can understand. Not many people for you to choose from, so it might as well be us. I was honored to do this meme. ^_~

(Everybody, go and check Rainy's blog out now! She's a great young poet in the making and she posts some really awesome, funny, and random stuff. She visits my blog and comments a lot, and all around she's a really nice and friendly girl. I consider her one of my best friends in the blogosphere. ^_^ She wrote her 100th post very recently. Hope you like it!)
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
Now let's see. Who will I tag? Well, I'll try a few people, see if this catches on...
I don't know if these people still read my blog (or in the Dude's case, if he ever HAS before), but on the off-chance that they see this, I am tagging YOU! Here are the 8 questions I'm tagging you with:
  1. How long are you able to hold your breath? Time yourself.
  2. What's the most memorable dream you've ever had?
  3. Why DID the chicken cross the road? O,o
  4. What is the best time of day for you?
  5. Which do you believe will appear first in the future? Robot servants, or flying cars?
  6. What is a favorite song that you know all the words to? Link to it or embed it, please?
  7. Who is your favorite extended family member? An aunt, an uncle, a grandparent, a cousin, an obscure "great-great" or "twice-removed" relative? Who are they in relation to you, and what makes them awesome?
  8. What is the meaning of life to you? (A big question, I know. =P Try to answer it anyway.)

Jane Lynch on SNL!

Before I get to posting the meme Rainy tagged me for (and I will post it, don't you worry ^_~) I want to tell you about the awesomely hilarious SNL episode my sibs and I saw last night. Why was it so incredibly amazing and funny, you ask? Well...
This is why. ^_^

Jane Lynch was an amazing host last night. She was sooo funny in her special Jane Lynch way. All of last night's SNL skits ROCKED because of her. Especially the memorable and outstanding one in which the cast does a parody of Glee (of course, it had to happen with Lynch as host) and Sue Sylvester brings out a new student to join the New Directions. It was totally out of the blue, none of us saw it coming, but it was hilarious! Sue unleashed one of our old favorite Kristen Wiig characters, Gilly, on the Glee kids, and chaos ensued. Pure comedic genius. XD
If you don't believe me, just see the skit for yourself. You will LAUGH!
(You'll probably get more of a kick out of this if you're a Gleek. ^_~)
Another thing that was awesome about last night's episode was it's musical guest.
^_^ Bruno Mars. ^_^
This guy was totally a hit! I've heard his songs on the radio before and really liked them, but I never knew who was singing them. Now I can put a face to that sweet voice. ^_^ This is one of the songs he sang on the show. (In any case, the music video is simply amazing!!!)

10-10-10

With a date that looks like this, you know it's gotta be special, for one reason or another. ^,^

I like it when the day, month and year all match up numerically. It's like the planets are aligning. It's like Friday the 13th or something.

Another thing that's very interesting is that since all the numbers are ones and zeros, strung together they would make a binary number. Let's see...
101010 =
32+8+2 =
If anyone has read the "Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy" series, you'll know that 42 is apparently the number referenced in the books as the "ultimate answer to the ultimate question about life, the universe and everything." =P Of course, that's a lot of hokey, because it's fiction. But itn't it a coincidence that this is the number that comes up in the binary calculation of today's date? O,o I'm just saying...

Well, I don't know what's going to happen today. But if it's not memorable or special for me, I hope it is for others out there. May you find your ultimate answer today. ^_~

Ca$hflow Online!

Okay, this is something I think is really cool! My family and I used to play this Monopoly-like boardgame called "Cashflow", and today my sister and I discovered that you can play this game on the internet, for FREE! We've both registered, and played a couple games. It's amazing how different it is! To go from playing this...
To playing this!
If you guys think this is as cool a game as I do and wish to play along, I will tell you exactly what you have to do:

1: Visit this link and register with your email address and a unique password.
2: Look in your inbox and you'll find an email asking you to activate your account.
3: Go back to the site and sign in to play the game.

It is really exciting when you first get into the game. ^_^ You go into this Lobby, where people are starting games that you can join into, or you can create your own game. You can play by yourself, with computer players, or with other human players.

The awesome part about the game is that while you play, there's a little chat box below where you can talk to your fellow players. I think that is so much fun. ^_^

Let me know if you decide to sign up, and maybe we'll organize a game together. I can give you some pointers as we play. But do try to learn and understand the rules before you start playing!

Cya in the Rat Race! ^_~

Loving Autumn

Thanks to my friends, Jacoby and Graham, for saying "Happy Birthday" to my mom on Facebook. ^_^ She really appreciated it.

I think yesterday was honestly her best birthday ever. My brother, sister and I went all out and got her awesome gifts, made special home-made cards for her and just showered her with love. All 5 of us went to the beach and had a great celebration there too. Then when we got home we wanted to have a treat, and my mom decided to experiment a little. Guess what she created?
Nacho Pizza!
(This isn't a picture of our Nacho Pizza. I discovered that (unfortunately) this wasn't an unheard of invention. ~,~ Still, this was totally new to us! And boy, was it tasty!!! You've gotta try it!)
-----
Oh, I have to tell you about this. This weekend my sister showed me these videos she was seeing on YouTube, and they are hilarious! This cartoon character, Daniel Floyd, talks very intelligently about the subject of video games. Each video is between 6 and 10 minutes, and he covers such topics as the uncanny valley in games, game controversy, the need for better story-telling in games, video-game music, the female gaming audience, and many more.

Here's where you can find a whole bunch of his videos. If you're a big gamer, I'm sure you'll appreciate the humor in them even more than I do. LOL ^_^

Today while I was walking with my sister, we both felt this incredibly cool breeze. The Florida sun still shone warmly on us, but it was pleasantly counteracted by the cool, sweet-tasting wind that swirled around us.
Is anyone else familiar with the smell and feel of this special wind? To me it feels magical, the best feeling in the world, simply walking through it and inhaling it. It makes me feel more... alive. I always associate it with Fall. It's like the winds of change, reminding me that a couple beloved holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving, are just around the corner. ^_^

Where I live in Florida, the leaves don't change color, and it never snows. So this wind is about the only sign I have that Autumn is really, actually here. (Forget looking at the calendar. =P)

If you like Autumn as much as I do, what is your favorite thing about it? What special feelings do you associate with this season? (Don't be shy. I've told you mine, after all. ^_~)

Have a wonderful, happy Autumn!
