In the News...

For those who are unaware, yesterday I wiped out on my Ripstick... for the second time. Just as before, I am not hurt too badly and am slowly healing. However, this time I'll probably have visible scars for awhile. For the full story, here's the link to Picture Perfect.

Curse my waveboard! No, strike that... curse my careless skills on the waveboard in my incidents. Why must I be the one to bear bruises (or whatever injuries) while my sister remains unharmed? Not that I wish her to get hurt, god forbid... but, you know?... I just feel the injustice of it! So unfair!

Okay, enough of that. On a much lighter note, through my dad's discovery I've recently been researching the website WordPress.com, which I don't think I've really known about until now. It's like this huge, free opensource blogging site, about as big and popular as Blogger. It's supposed to have all these amazing features and many different themes and lots of other stuff.

As an experiment, I've signed to have for my own WordPress blog. My username is florasunnair and my blog is called Majik. (So me, isn't it? ^,^) If you want to see it, here's the link: http://imazia.wordpress.com
Pretty nice for my purposes, I'd imagine.

Let me just give you my short, initial opinion...
I think Blogger is a lot better than WordPress. I know, I might be a little biased, since I've been using it already for a third of a year, almost (in another two days!). But Blogger is very simple and easy to understand, very user-friendly. The author doesn't have to do too much, if he doesn't want to. WordPress, on the other hand, feels a bit complicated, like you have to do a lot of stuff. Maintaining it and such.

My new blog sure appears more sophisticated and cool, but I'm not sure what to put in my first post. It's kind of like that common blank feeling you have when you stare at an empty sheet of paper and you don't know what to put on it. But hey, I guess that happened when I did my first post here! Don't worry, I'll think of something.

Also, this is just an experiment, so don't go thinking I'm going to suddenly stop posting here. Because I won't. I've got too much of a good thing going on here, and I don't abandon my friends.

So I'll see you around, I guess. Even if you're not interested in making another blog, I suggest you look up this WordPress thing anyway. It sure is interesting, if anything can be said about it.

A lot of my blogging friends have Wordpress, and most of them really like it. I get the feeling that wodpress has different strengths than Blogger, so you have to decide which strengths are more important to you.
