Feeling like a baby

You know I love you, I always have.
But I have to say,
The other day,
I felt a feeling I've never had.

I know you love me from your every touch.
Now I can see,
you've proved it to me!
I never thought you loved me this much.

That night, it was different, in a sense.
A little more slow and a little more intense.
It was simply indescribable.
My words may be unreliable...

We've reached the end,
I feel incredibly spent.
I can barely move,
But why would I even want to?

I'm experiencing a joy I've never felt.
Underneath some overpowering spell.
I feel your arms embrace me tight.
Feelings bubble up and spill out as I cry.

I'm crying... Like a baby.
Small... Naked... Helpless.
You don't have to worry.
My tears are full of pure happiness.

My mind is reeling in the dark, like I'm lost in deep space.
All I can do is cling, almost blindly, in my vulnerable state,
To my single source of warmth and protection.
I can feel the love pouring out of your skin.

You care for me like I'm your child.
I know I'm not, but for a while
You stroke my hair and hold me close,
And in that precious moment, I know.

You're the only person I want to see me this way.
With a choked up voice, you hear me say:
I love you, I love you, I love you...
This poem is littered with half-rhymes, I know, but I don't think that matters very much here.
